Audi has of course followed in the footsteps of other big name car manufacturers and entered the electric vehicle market.
The Audi E-Tron range of electric vehicles is about to become bigger thanks to the upcoming, high-performance and sporty S models. The E-Tron and the E-Tron Sportback models will get the S treatment, and the biggest changes include the three-motor drivetrain, two driving the rear axle.

Cars will have almost 500 horsepower and both models will complete the 0 to 60 mph run in 4.5 seconds. In addition, both S models will have electronically limited top speeds of 130 mph, for obvious reasons.
The third motor drives the front axle, but will only activate when there is a need for extra power, or when some loss of traction happens. This feature is there to keep the vehicle system as efficient as possible at all times.

The Audi E-Tron S models are also going to have a new charging system giving them a charge from 5% to 80% in around 30 minutes. Last but not least, the sporty versions of E-Tron models will be equipped with new driving dynamics software that give you controlled drifts, in proper traffic conditions.
