We all know Kanye West has his own. So does David Beckham has one. Drake of course owns one as well, even Jimmy Fallon. In 2019, it seems like you cannot really call yourself a celebrity if you do not have your own line of clothing. Fortunately for Justin Bieber, this is no longer a problem he should worry about.
He recently debuted Drew House line, referencing his middle name. It has been in the works for almost a year, as he trademarked names like ‘Drew’, ‘the house of Drew’ and ‘La Maison Drew’.
According to the website, all pieces are made ethically and in limited quantities in Los Angeles. Surprisingly and fortunately, the prices are much more affordable than one may expect, considering it is a celebrity clothing line after all.
T-shirts run for US $48, while a pair of pants retail at US$148. The first collection of products look suspiciously similar to the Yeezy brand by Kanye West. They do utilize Bieber’s own oversized skater boy style. When it comes to colors, different shades of tan are dominant.
Part of his marketing campaign for every product deals with some inane facts. For example, “there is an official wizard of New Zealand”, or “you can’t hum while holding your nose closed”. Interesting indeed.
Justin Bieber’s first line of clothing seems rather simple when you take into account some of his looks . If you put aside a smiley face emoji with ‘drew’ over the mouth aside, many clean and more than decent pieces are available. Good on him.
